Book tags are super fun to do, so here's another one: the nope book tag! Basically it's different categories of things that made you say "nope" so I'm excited to do it!
NOPE. Ending: A book ending that made you go NOPE either in denial, rage, or simply because the ending was crappy
For me, this would have to be the ending of Ruin and Rising. I love Leigh Bardugo's books, but I wasn't happy with Alina's choices by the end of the Grisha trilogy. If you've read it, you know what I'm talking about. A Court of Mist and Fury had me in denial and rage because at the time that I had read it, the next book wasn't out and I had to wait to find out what happened!
NOPE. Protagonist: A main character you dislike and drives you crazy
Aelin Galathynius definitely drove me crazy throughout the Throne of Glass series. It wasn't that I didn't like her, I just often couldn't stand her decisions and she as a character just annoyed me. I still enjoyed the series, Aelin just wasn't my favorite character and often drove me crazy.
NOPE. Series: A series that turned out to be one huge pile of NOPE. after you’ve invested all of that time and energy on it, or a series you gave up on because it wasn’t worth it anymore

NOPE. Series: A series that turned out to be one huge pile of NOPE. after you’ve invested all of that time and energy on it, or a series you gave up on because it wasn’t worth it anymore
This is actually pretty hard, because if I continue reading a series, chances are I'll like the whole series, but either the Matched series or Divergent series could fit this description. I feel like for both series, the protagonists and plots went downhill as the series went on and I was very disappointed by the time I got to the end.
NOPE. Popular pairing: A “ship” you don’t support
I could say either Drarry or Dramione, but I'm going to have to go with Rowan and Aelin from Throne of Glass. I know that most people ship them, but to me I just didn't see it, especially when I reread Heir of Fire and saw how they acted towards each other. I just don't ship them anymore after rereading the series and looking at their relationship more closely.
NOPE. Plot twist: A plot twist you didn’t see coming or didn’t like
I'll admit that I often don't see plot twists coming, so there are many different books that I could have here. I'll have to go with any series written by Sarah J Maas, because although I know by know that she always includes plot twists, I absolutely never see them coming! (A Court of Mist and Fury, Crown of Midnight, Empire of Storms, etc)
NOPE. Protagonist action/decision: A character decision that made you shake your head NOPE
The entire love triangle in the Selection series. America's decision to actually break the law by continuing to see her ex-boyfriend made me shake my head, and not just because I really hate Aspen. It was such a stupid thing to do.
NOPE. Genre: A genre you will never read
Horror. I have nothing against horror books, but I get very scared easily from books and movies that in no way would be considered horror, and I know that I would probably never sleep again if I read a horror book.
NOPE. Trope: A trope that makes you go NOPE
Love triangles. I hate them so much.
NOPE. Recommendation: A book recommendation that is constantly hyped and pushed at you that you simply refuse to read
I tend to read a lot of books because of hype, but any horror book, no matter how good it is, I won't read (again, I get scared way too easily and I'd never be able to walk down a dark hallway without feeling like I'm about to get murdered).
NOPE. Love interest: The love interest that’s not worthy of being one. A character you don’t think should have been a viable love interest
Both Tamlin and Edward Cullen fit this question perfectly.
NOPE. Book: A book that shouldn’t have existed that made you say NOPE
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. This wasn't even written completely by JK Rowling and strays from canon so far that it reads worse than some fanfiction I've read about Harry Potter. I remember being so excited to read it when it first came out and then immediately regretting it as soon as I finished.
NOPE. Death: A character death that still haunts you
I just finished my Harry Potter reread, so I'll have to say Fred Weasley and Hedwig. That and the Thirteen from Throne of Glass.
NOPE. Author: An author you had a bad experience reading for and have decided to quit
Cassandra Clare. I know many people love her books, but I read City of Bones and hated it and have no desire to read any of her other books.
